What is a rubberized magnet? - A rubberized magnet is simply a magnet that has been coated in rubber. A silicone rubber coating provides a very high friction surface that is great for hanging or preventing the magnet from sliding. The rubber coating also makes the magnet more shock resistant and waterproof; allowing them to be used outdoors and other places a nickel coating would corrode.
